Prior to joining Ankura, Swapna was a member of a large consulting company’s corporate finance and restructuring practice, with a focus on the telecom, media, and technology industries. Swapna previously acted as legal counsel to the debtors in several corporate Chapter 11 restructurings and Chapters 11 and 7 wind-down cases. Her responsibilities included preparing first day motions, providing guidance to financial advisors on Schedule of Assets and Liabilities and Statement of Financial Affairs preparation, performing preference and fraudulent transfer analyses, drafting disclosure statements and plans of reorganization, negotiating claims, and drafting financing documents.
