Ankura Appoints Manuela Mackert to Strengthen Presence in Germany

Strategic Expert Expansion Bolsters Ankura’s Risk, Forensics and Compliance Offering in Germany and Globally

March 17, 2022 – Ankura Consulting Group, LLC (“Ankura”), a leading global expert services and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of another top hire as it continues to expand its German advisory business. Manuela Mackert joins Ankura’s German management team, from Deutsche Telekom, as Senior Managing Director to be based in Frankfurt. Since the opening of the inaugural German office in Frankfurt in June 2021, Ankura has built a core team of distinguished experts with a focus on Risk, Forensics & Compliance, as well as Anti-Financial Crime, Construction Disputes & Advisory, and Data & Technology. She will be joining Uwe Heim, Michael Peters, and Markus Domin, proven forensics experts who also recently joined the Ankura team in Frankfurt.

Manuela has more than 25 years of professional experience in compliance and risk management, including the areas of digital and artificial intelligence ethics, HR management, corporate development, and restructurings. From 2010 to 2021, Manuela Mackert served as Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Group Compliance Management at Deutsche Telekom, making a significant contribution to establish trust for the corporate brand on the ICT market. During her career, Manuela has conceptualized and delivered compliance programs that now serve as leading operational compliance and risk management models.

Manuela Mackert is a member of esteemed national and international advisory boards such as the Advisory Board of the Agency for Innovation in Cybersecurity and the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy.
